Captain visits Sangrur

The Sangur Congress gave a rousing welcome to Captain Amarinder Singh, President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. The PCC President stopped for an hour at the residence of Dhuri MLA Arvind Khanna where he was accorded a grand reception. He met hundreds of party workers. Talking to reporters at Arvind's residence, the Captain said the Akali-BJP alliance will not be able to win a single seat in the coming parliamentary elections in the state. "Given their all round failure, I doubt whether they will even be able to save their security deposits," he said.

Meeting to discuss Captain's Dhuri visit

A meeting of the President and office bearers of Block Congress Dhuri I & II and Core Committee of Halka Dhuri was held at Sukhwindera Restaurant. Those present discussed Captain Amarinder Singh visit to Dhuri on October 16.
